One evening when our boys were small, we went out to dinner at a local restaurant. The restaurant had one of those claw machines, that would let you attempt to win a stuffed animal for fifty cents a try. The boys finished their dinner before us, slow eating grown-ups, and asked if they could go check out the claw machine. We could see the claw machine from our table. So, we told them that they could. The boys were about four and ten years old at the time. They looked the stuffed animals over for a couple of minutes. Then, the four year old comes skipping back to the table. Excitedly he says, “Mom, can I have fifty cents? All I need is fifty cents. Brother is going to win me that beaver!”

The little guy had a look of joy and pure faith on his face. There was not a doubt in his four year old mind that his brother would do anything but win him that beaver.

I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to win anything out of one of those claw machines or not, but it’s pretty difficult. It’s kind of hard to do even if you’ve done it several times. My oldest son had only tried it a few times before and I’m not sure if he had ever won anything. I really had my doubts that he would be able to win the beaver. And I was concerned that it would be a big let down for the little guy. But, I gave him fifty cents. And he happily bounced back over to his brother.

Amazingly with just fifty cents and one try, brother won him that beaver!!

That evening we witnessed the awesome effect that absolute faith can have on our lives. If we truly have faith in what God can do for us, all things are possible.

Matthew 17:20 KJV- And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
