What Kind of Friend are You?

To me one of the saddest verses in the Bible is in the prophesy of Zechariah 13:6 when he is writing about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, it reads, “And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.”

We know what kind of friend Jesus Christ is to us. He’s the friend that sees us drowning in sin and wants to help. He’s the friend who knows who we are and is still willing to give his life for us. He’s the friend who knows how his life as a man is going to end, but for us he is willing to do it anyway. He’s the friend that carried that heavy burden of sin to the cross for us. He’s the friend that was beaten, ridiculed, tormented and mocked because of us. He’s the friend that was crucified for us. He’s the friend we can turn to for help. He’s the friend who walks with us so we aren’t alone. He’s the friend who lightens our load. He’s the friend who will stand up for His children in the day of judgment and say this is one of mine.

Now, what kind of friend are you??

Revelation 3:5 KJV-He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Matthew 10:32 KJV- Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
