When my son was a baby, he loved animal cookies. But, he refused to eat them unless they were perfect. He would hold them up to the light while sitting in his highchair. If the cookie had even the smallest imperfection, he would put it as far away from him as he could on his highchair tray. And he’d say, “It bwoke!” Needless to say, the dog was all too happy to help him out with a few “bwoke” ones! I’d just give him a few more and say, “Here you go. Check these.” He would examine each and every one to see if they were “bwoke!” And he’d happily eat the ones that passed his inspection. I was always amazed at how few of them were actually perfect.

I’m so glad that our Lord and Savior accepts us even if we have some dents, dings and imperfections. And even with all of our flaws, He welcomes us to come to Him.
