I love a good hamburger. And a recent Sonic special of $2.99 for a hamburger and onion rings was too good for me to pass up.

We had gotten ready to go on a short trip. And we had decided to go to town for a few things and grab some lunch before we headed north. We stopped and got us one of the Sonic specials. And I was very much enjoying my hamburger when all of a sudden a big round dollop of yellow mustard squirted out of that hamburger and landed on my shirt. What a mess! I had to go back home and change clothes before we could leave on our trip.

When I got ready to do the laundry, I treated the stain and washed the shirt. But the stain was still there, lighter but still there.

My mustard stain reminded me of sin. You can treat it. You can wash it. But the only thing that can blot it out is the blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

1 John 1:7 KJV- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
