Our two little dachshunds are Charlie and Molly. They were originally my son’s dogs. But due to his busy work and school schedule, we decided it would be best if they retired to the farm. Theirs is a working retirement. Their job and they take it very seriously, is to keep all of the farm birds- chickens, geese and guineas- out of the yard, flower beds and vegetable garden. The dogs are allowed to chase them to the field gate but no further. The whole process is actually pretty hilarious. The birds know they aren’t supposed to be in the yard. And as soon as they hear the door open and Molly barking (because she can’t be quite), the birds take off toward the gate. The birds always have a pretty good head start. But, the puppies give chase anyway and return to the house with a look of smug satisfaction.

God has a purpose for all of us. Seek Him to find your purpose. And in doing so, you will find your joy!!
