A Prayer

“I will pray for you.” That’s a phrase that we often say to comfort someone in need. But, it is very important when we say, “I will pray for you” that we actually do it. If we do not say the prayer after making a pledge to do so, then our efforts to provide help have no substance. It’s just an empty and hollow comment.

I saw a post on social media that said, “10 things to do for someone other than saying I will pray for you.” A casserole or a hug may be nice things to do for others. But, a humble and respectful request brought before the living God on behalf of someone else is the most powerful thing that a child of God can do for anyone!!

I’ve heard people say well at the very least, I can pray for them. No, a sincere prayer is the MOST you can do for someone! It is our privilege and in some cases it is our duty to pray. So, let your prayers be heard. And be thankful to God our Father from whom all blessings flow.

Matthew 21:22(KVJ) And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Philippians 4:6(KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

James 5:16(KJV) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
