Sheep tend to come a running at feeding time. If the sheep think that you have something for them to eat, they will quickly surround you and make it difficult for you to move. My husband often feeds corn to the sheep. So, I guess what happened the day that I wore my yellow socks into the sheep pen should have come as no surprise.

My yellow socks are a bright yellow and apparently look like corn to a hungry sheep. I stepped into the sheep pen wearing these socks and was immediately surrounded with baa-ing sheep. They were licking and nibbling my ankles. I can’t even describe what a weird feeling that was!! And they were stepping all over my feet. I was bombarded by sheep and couldn’t move. My husband had to come and rescue me. And I had to take my socks off and leave them on the fence post before I could safely walk out to the barn.

Have you ever considered how Jesus must have felt when he was surrounded by the multitudes? The people pressed toward Him everywhere He went. Some wanted healing, some longed to hear His Word and I imagine some just wanted to be close to Him. And Christ endured all of this for us.

Matthew 13:2 KJV- And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
