The Lord’s Toolbox

Our Lord Jesus was a carpenter by trade before He began His ministry. He would have used the tools of His trade to complete the tasks that were set before Him each day. It is an interesting comparison to think that after His death on the cross that we, His children, became the tools in His toolbox. Some of us to be used for new construction, so to speak, and paving the way for others to follow. Some to be used for repair and maintenance of what has already been established. But all His “tools” are called according to His purpose to do the work that is set before us.

Are you a hard working tool in the service of the Lord? Or are you a rusty and useless tool lying in the bottom of the toolbox?

Romans 8:28 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV) Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Hebrews 13:21 (KJV) Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
