The sunset was really beautiful the other night when I was sitting in the porch swing. My son’s phone takes really good pictures so I suggested he take a pic of the sunset. He said, “The pictures never turn out as good as seeing the real thing.” He’s right. You can’t feel the cool breeze blowing on your face or the dampness of the evening air when you look at a picture. You can’t hear the frogs singing at the pond or your family visiting on the porch in a picture. God made us so that we not only see the beauty of His creation; we experience it!! We process the wonder of His work with all of our senses. And when we soak it all in, God’s beauty brings us peace.

Psalms 46:10 (KJV) Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Psalms 29:2 (KJV) Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
