My mom and my sister are both excellent seamstresses. But for some reason that part of the gene pool played out when it got to me! Every time I get my sewing machine out, which isn’t very often, it and I have to come to an understanding! Mom worked hard to teach me the basics of sewing. So, I know how it works…but actually doing it tests my patience and tends to stress me out.

From time to time, I forget this. Just like the day I decided to make the puppies some new dog beds. The readymade ones I saw at the store were $15 each, which would be $30 for two. And I knew I could make them for less than $4 each and mine would be washable. That kind of savings was too good for me to pass on. So, I pulled out the sewing machine. It was a bit of a trying Sunday afternoon. But, with the good Lord’s help, I finished the puppy pillows. They look decent and the puppies love them.

Sometimes in our lives we have to do things that are very much outside of our comfort zone. Just remember that with our God all things are possible!!!
