A Closer Walk

Have you ever wondered why God allows trials and tribulation in our lives? Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people? Then just ask yourself, when do I pray the hardest? When do I seek God's face the most? When do I cry out to the Lord with all my heart and soul? When do I fall on my face and beg for His mercy and grace??

It isn’t in the good times, is it? It is when things aren’t going well. It is when life’s journey is the hardest. That’s when we run to the Lord for help. That’s when we don’t forget to pray. And that’s when we give Him the glory for answered prayers.

During your painful times, remember the trials of Job, in the Old Testament. Job wasn’t leading a sinful life. Job was doing his best to live a righteous life. And God was proud of Job. In Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? And God allowed Job to be tried. He allowed tribulation in Job’s life. And God allowed Job’s faith to be tested.

So remember to be strong and faithful when life’s trials come. God knows you are strong enough to bear the burdens you are given. Trust in the Lord and lean on Him because that’s when you are walking the closest to Him.

Ephesians 3:13(KJV) Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

Romans 5:3(KJV) And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

1 Peter 1:7(KJV) That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
