My oldest son has had an especially hard time dealing with his brother’s multiple sclerosis. Growing up as the big brother, he has always felt a responsibility to take care of his little brother. Even if they argued, he always had his brother’s back. He told me that his little brother is his favorite person to be around. And it is very difficult for him to see his brother sick.

Jesus Christ took full responsibility for us and for our sins. He does not want us to perish. Do you think there is even one on the side of darkness that would have your back? That would have an ounce of compassion for you? That would defend you with their life? That would take all your burdens from you? That would stand up in your defense in the presence of the all mighty God and say this is one of mine? The answer to all of these questions is NO!! There is no one other than Jesus Christ! He is our redeemer, defender, savior and friend. And Jesus Christ is our big brother!!
