Jackpot!

A big lottery jackpot recently had people talking. And it made me think about what I would do if I had all of that money. Right now, the two things that I desire the most are good health for my son, who has MS and good health for my sister, who is struggling with cancer. Money, I don’t care how much it is, cannot fix either one of these things. Yes, a little extra money might make some things easier. But God is so faithful to provide for our needs. I look around and I see just how very blessed we are. God is the only one who can do and fix the impossible. He is the only one who can take a bad situation and work it to the good.
There is wisdom in the old saying that “money can’t buy you happiness”. And we’ve all already hit the jackpot with the hope, the salvation and the promises that God offers us thru His Son Jesus Christ! For without this, we have nothing.
Psalms 37:23-28 (KJV) The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
