Perfection

I’ve been reading in the Old Testament of my Bible. And one thing that stands out is God’s attention to detail. Everything God does or wants done is orderly and structured. Our God is not a god of chaos. So, you can be sure that the disorderly chaos that you see in the world is not of Him. God requires things to be done in a specific way and to be done His way down to the smallest detail. God is a perfectionist.

Man is not perfect. And we never will be on our own. So, it makes sense doesn’t it that we would need a Savior? We need the only perfect man who ever lived, Jesus Christ. He is that perfect link to restore us to our Father, the perfectionist.

Deuteronomy 32:3-4 (KJV) Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Psalms 18:30 (KJV) As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Matthew 5:48 (KJV) Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
