Have you ever held a light down by your feet? You can’t see ahead nearly as far when the light is down by your feet as you can when you hold the light up higher. The Bible says that God’s Word is a lamp unto our feet. It lights our path but not too far ahead. I’ve thought about this and it could be because we aren’t strong enough to deal with everything that is ahead all at once. We can only handle the part that is directly in front of us, one small step at a time. It could also be that the Lord wants us to travel by faith. He wants us to trust that He will guide us thru the unknown. And God will show us the way by His Word.

Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
