I saw a recent story in the news where a dad died while saving his son in the ocean. The boy was caught in a riptide, which is an extremely strong and powerful current. The man got his son to safety. But in the process, the dad was pulled under the water and drowned.

As a parent, I know that this dad has no regrets. And if he had to do it over, he would still choose to save his son. Hopefully, the boy will one day come to realize this. And when he grows up, I pray that he will choose to live a life that honors his father.

This is exactly what our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ did for us. He saw us drowning in an ocean of sin. The Lord chose to save us. He made the sacrifice and paid the price because of His love for us. The Lord gave His life so we might live. So, will you choose to live a life that honors Him?

John 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
