Falling Leaves

I stopped watering the morning glories a few weeks ago. The morning glories are always trying to take over the plants in the garden and the flower bed. And we are forever pulling up wads of them. But this year, I thought I would give them a chance to survive. So, I planted a container of them for the front porch. I nurtured, watered and tended to them all summer. The plants MAYBE had two blooms on them the whole time. Then when most of the leaves fell off the vines, I thought I’m done. Since then with no water, the thing has been blooming!!
I guess my morning glory is like some people. It wanted to do things on its own. It didn’t like being confined to a container. It didn’t like being cared for and tended to. And when I stopped, now it’s going to show me what it can do…all by itself!
The problem with stubborn morning glories and with stubborn people is you should start showing God what you can do BEFORE all your leaves fall off!!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
