Hot Pursuit

I was making my way to work on an ordinary day when a little black car sped by me doing about a 100 mph on a very busy highway. A few seconds later about ten patrol cars also blew past with loud sirens and blue lights flashing in hot pursuit of this guy. I thought of all the road construction and the school zone that lay ahead if he continued on the same road. And I started praying, as I’m sure others did when they saw what was happening. I prayed for everyone’s safety including the patrolmen, other people in his path and also for the man in the little black car. Then sure enough when I reached the school, there was a totally smashed little black car sitting in a pool of police cars with their flashing blue lights. But praise the Lord, no one was hurt!!! Apparently, the man jumped out and ran after wrecking his car and was quickly caught and arrested.
This man was from the northeast part of the United States. How he ended up in a high speed chase that started in southern Missouri and ended in northern Arkansas, I do not know. And I guess in all those miles it never occurred to him that he was going to lose. Or that he was putting the lives of everyone he encountered that morning in danger. He probably never thought of the families that would be affected if someone died because of his bad decisions. I wonder if he has thought about how blessed he is that God protected him and those around him that day.
I just want to say thank you Lord!!! That man drove thru heavy morning traffic. He drove thru all the stop lights going thru town. He drove thru a large section of road construction and made it to the school without hitting anyone else. He was traveling at speeds, as they reported, up to 100 mph. Now, that was a miracle!!!
