I want to be a Lamb

Last night, I was thinking about my youth. Then very interesting, there were some who requested prayer this morning at church. They are Christians, but were remembering the mistakes of their youth. Some things they regretted saying, doing and thinking in their younger days were bothering them. And during the prayer, I’m sure that many others of us, including myself said, “Me too, Lord, please forgive me too!” None of us are perfect. If we were, we would not need a savior and Christ would not have needed to die. But Jesus Christ did die for us and made a way for us, by the shedding of His blood, to be forgiven of our sins and to be reconciled to Him.
While thinking of my own past, I thought I would not like to go back and relive it. I wouldn’t mind feeling good in the mornings like I did when I was young! But I don’t want to go back. However, I would have liked to share the wisdom that I’ve accumulated with my 20 year old self. Then maybe she would have made better decisions in her life’s journey. Looking back, I think the person I have become is an accumulation of God’s Word guiding me, of God correcting me, of my life experiences, of my mistakes and my successes. Without all of this, I would not be me. Hopefully thru it all, there has been at least a little improvement…because I want to be a lamb.
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Psalms 25:7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.
John 8:7-11 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
II Corinthians 5:20-21 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
