One thing about living in this world is that things are always changing. Who would have thought that after thirty-five plus years of going to work at the office that I would spend almost the whole year of 2020 working from home? Who knew that wearing masks would become a normal part of life? At the beginning of the COVID pandemic, most people who were good with sewing machines were pulling them out and making masks. It is interesting that in the book of Ecclesiastes 3:7 it mentions “a time to sew”. God knew. Also during this pandemic, we are encouraged to maintain a distance of six feet from others. Ecclesiastes 3:5 talks about “a time to refrain from embracing”. God knew.

Our God is the same today as He was in the beginning. His Word, in the Bible, is the blueprint that God has given us to navigate in this world and to lead us to Him. The Bible spans all time and pertains as much today as when it was written. Do not listen to those who say the Bible is an ancient book that doesn’t apply to our modern world because…God knows.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
